About Sixpenny Productions

Sixpenny Productions creates commercial visual content for independent businesses, helping them present products, spaces and stories clearly and professionally.

The studio provides a practical, end-to-end service including product photography, video content and custom-built props. Filming and photography can be carried out on location or in the studio, with all content edited and delivered ready for use across websites, social media and digital displays. Compact media players for in-house screens can also be supplied, pre-loaded with approved content.

Product photography is available at the Sixpenny Productions studio in North Dorset, where clients can bring their products and have all aspects of the shoot and post-production handled.

The focus is on producing crisp, accurate imagery that works effectively for online shops, websites and promotional material, without the cost or complexity of agency-level production.

Founded by Scott Wayland, Sixpenny Productions is built on a lifetime of practical making and creativity. With a background shaped by the British film industry, including work within the BBC Special Effects department, Scott spent many years as a freelance model and prop maker for independent companies.

After relocating to Dorset, he established Sixpenny Brewery, now operating successfully for over seventeen years. That experience running a successful, customer-facing business continues to shape the practical and collaborative approach taken at Sixpenny Productions today.

Photography and film have always been a parallel focus and now form the basis of a dedicated product photography and video service, supported by a home studio designed for clean, consistent results. Short-form video and moving-image content is also produced for promotional use and digital signage, including bespoke displays at the Sixpenny Tap.

Sixpenny Productions brings together practical making, photography and moving image, with a straightforward, collaborative approach. Projects of all sizes are welcomed, and discussions and quotations are always available.
