A visual insight of Special Effects Props and Models created for TV and Theatre Productions

For over thirty years, special effects props and models have been designed and built for television, theatre and independent productions. The work shown here includes commissions for the BBC, specialist effects companies and occasionally stage productions for venues such as Salisbury Playhouse and other theatres.

The projects range from detailed models to practical, lightweight performance-ready props, including oversized soft props and items incorporating mechanical or visual effects, as well as mould making and casting. Together, they offer a broad snapshot of the variety, craftsmanship and problem-solving involved in creating effects that are reliable, believable and built for real production use.
